Naked, sleeping man charged with drug possession, trespassing

A Middletown man found naked and sleeping under an underpass on Crawford Street recently was charged with possession drug abuse/instruments, drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass, according to a Middletown police report.

Police were called to the AK Steel Union Hall after an employee said workers saw a naked man in the area. Police located Robert Davis, 34, sleeping with trash strewn in the area. He told police he spent the night there. His clothes were found on a plastic bin, according to the report.

Police located a used syringe and cooking spoon, items Davis said were not his, according to the report.

Davis was sentenced to 90 days on the drug instrument charge. His 30 days on the criminal trespass charge were suspended, and the drug paraphernalia charge was withdrawn, according to Middletown Municipal Court records.
