Middletown man arrested after shots fired into house with children inside, one man struck

A Middletown man is facing several felony charges connected to a shooting early this morning in the city.

At about 1:05 a.m., police received a call that Christopher Myers, 31, was shot in the arm at a residence in the 1700 block of Manchester Avenue.

“We found that several individuals had been in a dispute over money,” said Major Scott Reeve.

According to police, 24-year-old Tyler Glass, of the 1700 block of Columbia Avenue, was involved in the dispute. After Glass left the Manchester residence, he shot several times into the house, hitting Myers, police said. There were four people in the house, including two children.

A Butler County police dog ran a track from the scene of the shooting to the Columbia Avenue residence where Glass was taken into custody, according police. Glass is charged with four counts of felonious assault, having a weapon under disability and discharging a firearm into a habitation.
