A memorial has been erected near the site of the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old Hamilton teen as police continue their investigations into two shootings on Thursday night,

The victim of last night’s suspected homicide in Hamilton has been identified as Shon Gregory Walker, 19, of Ludlow Street in Hamilton.

Crews were called to the 400 block of East Avenue on Thursday night and found Walker on the sidewalk. He was beyond medical help at that time, according to police.

This morning a woman sat crying beside a makeshift memorial to the teen fatal shooting victim. She rocked back and fourth and said, ‘why?’ Blood still stained that sidewalk where he had been targeted and shot.

Walker’s death was one of two shootings Thursday night in Hamilton, according to police.

The second shooting happened about 10:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Second Street. Dashawn Marquis Sudberry, 29 of Allen Avenue in Hamilton, was shot three times in the leg, according to the police report.

Police are investigating to determine if the two shootings are connected.

An autopsy is being performed today at the Butler County Coroner’s Office on Walker.
