Man seen looking in bedroom window charged with voyeurism

A Middletown man was charged with voyeurism, possession of criminal tools and five charges of criminal trespassing after he allegedly was found looking into a woman’s bedroom, according to Middletown police.

Derrick Flannery, 23, of Middletown, allegedly was seen looking into a bedroom window in the 4600 block of Creekview Drive around 3 a.m. Monday. A female told police she was hot and when she went to open her bedroom window, Flannery was looking in the window.

The woman woke up her brother, who chased after the suspect. A canine officer from Monroe was called and the dog tracked and found Flannery hiding in the back porch area in the 300 block of Terrance Drive, according to police.

Police found two pair of gloves, a camera, two pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, two watches, a knife, a necklace, a wallet and a bag full of change on Flannery, the report read.

Police checked the neighborhood and found that several vehicles had been gone through.

Flannery will have his pretrial hearing Oct. 22 in Middletown Municipal Court, according to records.
