Man reports being shot in trailer park while walking dog in Liberty Twp.

A 32-year-old man who showed up at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown early Sunday morning with a gunshot wound in his right side told Butler County sheriff’s deputies he was shot around 1 a.m.

The man told police and sheriff’s deputies he had been walking his dog near the Rochester Hills mobile home park on Hamilton Middletown Road in Liberty Twp. when he was struck by something. A family member later transported him to the hospital, which notified law enforcement about the situation.

“Officers responded, as well as deputies, to interview him, and surrounding neighbors, and we’re continuing to investigate at this time,” said Butler County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Tony Dwyer.
