Each count carries a potential $250,000 fine, and a maximum 20 years in prison for the production and transportation of child pornography, and a maximum 10 years for possession.
The agreement states Keith swapped 15 photographs he had taken of himself sexually assaulting a minor male child with an individual in South Carolina who was under investigation for trading child pornography.
Keith was indicted Jan. 19 by a federal grand jury on 117 charges, including 115 counts of producing child pornography. A federal investigation found he had taken sexually explicit photos of more than one child, and other images possessed by Keith included images of children as young as infants being sexually abused.
“The total number of images is well in excess of 600,” according to a statement released by the U.S. Department of Justice.
Once released, Keith must register as a sexual offender and be on supervised release for at least five years, according to the agreement.
His attorney, Smith-Monahan, declined to comment.
West Chester Twp. and Mason police assisted FBI agents in arresting Keith at his Mason apartment.
The original indictment alleges that on multiple occasions in 2002 and 2003, Keith coerced or forced at least three young boys to engage in sexually explicit conduct and took photos of the acts.
The photos described in the indictment depict naked children in poses, but also incidents of the suspect molesting the boys.
Federal authorities became aware of the alleged crimes when Keith sent the images over the Internet to a person in South Carolina, said Todd Lindgren, FBI spokesman.
The incidents occurred at an in-home day care run by the suspect’s mother, Teresa Bailey, in the 9000 block of McCauley Road in West Chester Twp., according to police reports.
Bailey was charged by the state with two counts of child endangering that accuse her of failing to protect the children from Keith.
She is to be in court May 23 for a plea or trial setting hearing.
