The trial began April 16 in Butler County Common Pleas Judge Greg Stephens’ courtroom with jury selection lasting two days.
Court was delayed Tuesday morning, and when the jury filed in, one female juror was missing. That juror was replaced with one of four alternates who has been seated in the courtroom since the trial began.
Outside the presence of the jury, Stephens said the juror excused had a conflict “that ultimately would have prevented her from following the law as it relates to the consideration of the death penalty.”
The prosecution is continuing to present its case against Grevious.
