Inmate accused of sexual assault on volunteer at Warren Correctional

A state prison inmate has been indicted for sexually assaulting a volunteer at Warren Correctional Institution on Sept. 20, 2019.

Kyle Lyons, 33, is now held in the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, according to a description included with information on his case in a list of indictments issued Monday by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

“The victim was a volunteer conducting a book reading club at Warren Correctional Institution. While alone with the volunteer, the defendant is accused of grabbing her breast and her vagina, causing the victim to immediately scream, which resulted in corrections officers responding to the area,” according to Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell.

Lyons is serving 10 to 20 years in prison for rape, atttempted rape, kidnapping and tampering with evidence in Licking County and and possession of a deadly weapon under detention of Warren County.

His arraignment has not been scheduled.
