4 injured, including 2 kids, in drive-by Butler County shooting

Four people, including two children, suffered non-life threatening injuries Tuesday night during a drive-by shooting on Augspurger Road, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim’s car was traveling west on Augspurger Road at about 11:40 p.m. when the suspect’s vehicle approached from behind and proceeded to pass. As it did, multiple shots were fired from a rifle at the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle.

The 25-year-old male driver from Middletown sustained a non-life threatening injury to his hand and the 25-year-old female passenger from Middletown suffered minor injuries from shattered glass.

The driver was transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital.

A 7-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy sitting in the back seat sustained minor injuries from the broken glass.

The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the shooting.
