The woman was shot in the leg and transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital. Burkhardt said the man was grazed, possibly in the arm.
“Somebody approached them while they were parked in the car,” he said.
INITIAL REPORT
Police responded to a report of someone shot in the leg in the 1200 block of Lane Street in Hamilton at about 11 a.m. today.
Police spokesman Sgt. Rich Burkhardt said not much was known about what happened, because officers had just recently arrived at the scene.
Lane Street is east of downtown, between South 2nd Street and Central Avenue.
