At least one person who called 911 shortly after 9 p.m. to report the shooting also told dispatchers who the young man was as he lay bleeding on the sidewalk.
Crews were called to the 400 block of East Avenue on Thursday night and found Walker. He was beyond medical help at that time, according to police.
An East Avenue resident’s security cameras captured the shooting on video. Two male on bicycles are seen in the video.
“They cornered him and were talking,” said James, who did not want his last name disclosed. “Then they pulled out a gun and shot him point black.”
A female 911 caller said the suspects were on bikes and wearing dark hoodies.
“I just watched two young men on bicycles unload a gun on this young gentleman out here. He is laying on the ground, I don’t know if he is conscious or not,” the caller said.

No arrests had been made Friday afternoon in either incident.
The homicide is the second of 2019 in Hamilton. On Jan. 26, 18-year-old Londale Harvey was gunned down while getting into his car in the city’s Lindenwald neighborhood. Like Walker’s death, police say Harvey’s slaying was not a random act.
A memorial was erected Friday near the site of the fatal shooting.

Friday morning, a woman sat crying beside a makeshift memorial to the teen fatal shooting victim. She rocked back and fourth and said, ‘why?’ Blood still stained that sidewalk where he had been targeted and shot.
Walker’s death was one of two shootings Thursday night in Hamilton, according to police.
The second shooting happened about 11 p.m. near the 1100 block of South Second Street. Dashawn Marquis Sudberry, 29 of Allen Avenue in Hamilton, was shot three times in the leg, according to the police report.
Police are investigating to determine if the two shootings are connected.
Hamilton Police Chief Craig Bucheit issued a statement Friday about the violent Thursday night.
“I want to ensure the residents in our 2nd & 4th Ward neighborhoods where these shootings took place that their safety is a top priority for us,” he said.
“We are aggressively pursuing multiple suspects in these targeted acts, and, with help from the community, I’m confident we will track down those responsible.
“In the wake of these events, I want to take this opportunity to renew our police-community efforts that have led us to double-digit reductions in both shootings and homicides thus far this year.
“Despite our successes, no amount of violence is acceptable. Going forward, I believe our best chance at further reducing these senseless acts is our continued use of precision policing methods directed at the offenders, guns, gangs, and drugs that fuel street violence coupled with community activism, designed to convince the young men involved to abandon a lifestyle that is destined to end in death or prison.”
