A Middletown juvenile was charged with assault and complicity to felonious assault after she got into a fight with another female and two male passengers beat up two boys with baseball bats.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Woodlawn Avenue on Aug. 3 and found that two boys had been struck by baseball bats during a fight. The police report read that it was a fight among two girls, and during the fight, two males got out of the vehicle and attacked two males.

The males struck by the bat suffered injuries and were transported to Atrium Medical Center for treatment, according to the report.

When police responded to the 600 block of Highland Street they located the vehicle that allegedly was driven to the scene of the fight. Police took the two girls found in the house and questioned them at the police station.

The girl who was charged refused to tell Middletown police the names of the two males in the back of the Jeep. When told that police had a photo of one of the males and there was blood on a baseball bat found in the back of her vehicle, she told police the boys had “protected her.”

The girl was transported to the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center. She is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 16 before Judge Kathleen Romans, according to court records.
