6 face federal indictments in Middletown ‘drug ring’ investigation

Multiple people have been federally indicted on charges involving the conspiracy to traffic in heroin/fentanyl or mixture after a six-month investigation into a “drug ring.”

They include:

Benwan Edwards of Miamisburg, who is in custody, indicted for conspiracy to possess and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Marqui Conley aka “Keyman,” of Middletown, who is is not in custody, inducted for conspiracy to possess and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Police are continuing to look for Conley. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should the call the police. There is a cash reward for his arrest.

Will Dan Owens V of Middletown, who is in custody, indicted for conspiracy to possess and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Hailey Perry Meeks of Middletown, who is in custody, indicted for conspiracy to possess and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Tyrese Robinson of Middletown, who is not in custody, indicted for conspiracy to possess and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Robinson is currently a fugitive on the run, and his addresses are being monitored, according to police. Robinson and investigators spoke via phone yesterday and he stated that he would turn himself in, but he has not. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts should contact the police. There is also a cash reward for his arrest.

Joseph Singletary of Middletown, who is not in custody, indicted for conspiracy to possess and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

These people and others are responsible for trafficking large quantities of heroin/fentanyl throughout Middletown and surrounding locations, according to police.

“For other individuals involved in this group … you know who are and rest assured we know who you are, we ask you to be patient as we are getting to you as quickly as we can and you will get arrested in the order in which people were indicted or you can simply turn yourself in at the Police Department,”said Middletown Police Chief Rodney Muterspaw.

“Running and hiding only makes it more difficult for you in the long run as these charges are not going away as we work with Federal agencies and the BURN Unit to bring you in”.

The investigation has resulted in approximately 20 seized vehicles related to this group that were directly involved with heroin/fentanyl sales and/or purchased with the proceeds of narcotics trafficking, as well as drugs and guns.
