Jordan Thomas, 34, was stopped May 8 at North Breiel Boulevard and North Verity Parkway after an officer allegedly saw him stop beyond the stop bar, then make an improper turn.
Thomas told the officer he was from Fairborn and he was visiting a friend who lives on Carmody Boulevard.
When asked if there was any marijuana in the car, Thomas handed the officer a plastic container from the driver’s door. It contained about 1.1 grams of marijuana, the report said.
While searching the car, police found hydrocodone, a schedule II narcotic, and alprazolam, a schedule IV narcotic.
In the trunk, police found a loaded .45 caliber pistol inside a backpack. Thomas told police the gun was given to him and he was holding it for a friend.
Thomas was charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, drug abuse/schedule II, possession of drug paraphernalia, drug abuse/schedule IV, drug abuse/marijuana, driving under suspension, improper turn, and stop bar violation, according to the report.
He will have his preliminary hearing on May 16 in Middletown Municipal Court.
