A 68-year-old Carlisle man could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted on 12 counts of rape and six counts of gross sexual imposition filed on Monday in Warren County Common Pleas Court, according to Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell.

According to a list of indictments issued today by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office, Ronald Rowland is alleged to have “had sexual contact and conduct with another who was less than 13 years of age” from Jan. 1, 2013, to Feb. 24, 2017.

“It started with one victim when she as approximately 5 years old,” Fornshell said on Monday.

Investigation determined there were three victims, one from the time she was 9, the other from 12, Fornshell added.

The sexual abuse allegedly took place at Rowland’s home, a shed behind his home, a swimming pool and the victims’ homes, according to the prosecutor.

One victim accused Rowland and the others were found during forensic interviews at the county’s child advocacy center, Fornshell said.

Rowland’s case was bound over to the grand jury on March 30.

Rowland is scheduled for arraignment on June 1 in Warren County Common Pleas Court.

He was free on Monday on a $50,000 bond set in Franklin Municipal Court and continued on April 4 in common pleas court, according to court records.

If convicted, “He would spend the rest of his life in prison,” Fornshell said.
