He was booked into the Butler County Jail at 2 p.m. today, according to jail records.
Sheriff Richard K. Jones said with school out because of the coronavirus, it could have been more difficult for the children to reach out for help.
“We have to stay vigilant on matters such as these to where children are heard and protected,” Jones said in a press release.
