CRIME NEWS: 38 people indicted in Butler, Warren counties
Jacqueline Loud, of New Lebanon, was arrested just after 9 p.m. in the Speedway parking lot on Creekside Drive in Fairfield Twp. after the sheriff walked by her vehicle and “observed her rolling a marijuana blunt,” according to the police report.
Jones had confiscated the alleged blunt and turned it over to the responding officer.
The police officer recovered a baggie containing alleged marijuana and a baggie with a single pill from inside the car, according to the report. The woman also had prescriptions for other people inside her purse.
The sheriff told the Journal-News he was driving home from a workout when he pulled up to the convenience store at Speedway to buy a quart of chocolate milk. When he got out of his vehicle, he said he noticed the woman in the driver’s seat appearing to roll a marijuana joint, adding “anybody walking by could see it.”
“It was her bad luck I wanted chocolate milk,” Jones said.
Loud is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police sized 4.5 grams of marijuana, a wooden bowl, rolling papers and a Tylenol with codeine pill, according to the police report.
Loud is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 29 in Area II Court in Hamilton.
