The Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Taskforce, working with United States Postal Inspectors last week, intercepted deliveries of parcels containing narcotics sent to the county, officials said.

During the operation, investigators seized 952 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) vaporizer cartridges, approximately seven pounds of marijuana, hashish wax, and $2,723 in controlled deliveries to the Hamilton and Oxford areas.

Agents also seized large amounts of THC products disguised as lip balm, Tootsie Rolls, cannabis syrup and gummies. Other items seized included assorted paraphernalia and trafficking articles such as digital scales and plastic bags. The street value on items seized estimated at over $65,000.

Investigations are ongoing and charges are pending laboratory analysis.

The sheriff has ordered the narcotics task force to enforce the Ohio Revised Code and help preserve public health.
