3 arrested in Butler County drug bust that included ‘substantial amount’ of meth, fentanyl

Three people were arrested Tuesday night after Butler County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at Park Avenue and F Street in Hamilton.

The driver, Veronica Louis Sacco, 27, was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Montgomery County, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

The front seat passenger, Nathaniel Morningstar, 30, was found to be in possession of a “substantial amount” of narcotics that included about 122 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 45 grams of suspected fentanyl and three grams of crack cocaine, the sheriff’s office said.

Morningstar had an outstanding warrant for felony assault out of Montgomery County and fugitive warrant from parole. He was charged with possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs, both felonies. Deputies also recovered a stolen handgun from the vehicle.

Another passenger, Alexander Thomas O’Keefe, 31, was arrested pursuant to a tip from the Cincinnati Office DEA and a search warrant was conducted at 2575 Urmston Ave. in Fairfield Twp. O’Keefe was arrested for felony possession of drugs for having crystal methamphetamine.

More charges will be added at a Butler County Grand Jury pending lab results, the sheriff’s office said.
