A Middletown woman was charged with falsification and petty theft after she allegedly stole clothes from Kohl’s, then, once she was questioned by police, gave police officers her sister’s name, according to a police report.

Fallon Reed, 31, was charged after she allegedly stole $310 worth of items Friday night from Kohl’s, 6825 Roosevelt Parkway, the report read.

Reed, who ran from the store’s loss prevention officer, was found behind P&G Food Mart on Cincinnati-Dayton Road, according to the report. She gave a police officer an incorrect name, the name of her sister. Reed also has a warrant through Middletown Municipal Court and the Butler County’s Sheriff’s Office, police said.

Police searched Reed and found multiple clothing items that allegedly were stolen from Kohl’s. The clothes were returned to the store.

Reed pleaded guilty to petty theft and was sentenced to 180 days with 177 days suspended, according to Middletown Municipal Court records. She also was told to stay away from Kohl’s.

The falsification charge was withdrawn by the prosecutor.
