Callers told 911 dispatchers they heard as many as six gunshots throughout the apartment complex. One caller said she saw a white vehicle, possibly a Saturn, leaving the scene after the shooting.

Another caller said the other man in the car was in her apartment and he wasn’t shot.

When asked to describe the view from her window, one caller said, “He’s dead. He’s not moving.”

Several people were screaming in the background, and the woman told them, “Don’t go outside. Don’t go outside.”

Another caller said, “Somebody’s been shot. Oh my gosh.”

When a caller saw several residents near the man lying outside the car, she said, “Don’t touch the weapon.” Then she told the 911 dispatcher she didn’t see a gun.

Then she added, “Kids shooting. I’m sick of this. Oh my God, let this man be OK.”
