Company to lay off 22 in Butler County

OPW Fueling Components will lay off 22 employees at its facility at 9393 Princeton Glendale Road in West Chester Twp.

The company notified state officials of the move via a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, commonly referred to as a WARN notice, saying the layoff will take place July 23 and that it is expected to be permanent.

OPW Fueling Components manufactures and distributes fluid handling equipment and components for retail and commercial fueling applications.

Employees may have the opportunity to relocate to OPW’s location in Smithfield, N.C., and may also apply for a limited number of openings at the company’s locations in DePere, Wisc.; Skokie, Ill; or Lebanon, according to the notice.

The affected employees are all non-union.
