A number of companies are looking to expand their existing workorce, adding dozens of new jobs to the region. Here’s a sample of businesses we’ve profiled in this space in recent weeks in an effort to keep job seekers informed about what companies are looking for and how many they are hiring.

PAC Worldwide

PAC Worldwide is looking to fill more than open positions at its Middletown and Sharonville facilities.

The company is a manufacturer of customized, flexible packaging. It manufactures a variety of products, including but not limited to bubble mailers, flat poly mailers, automated systems, and cold chain packaging that are primarily used in the e-commerce world.

The company has 900 employees globally, more than 500 of them in facilities in Middletown and Sharonville.

PAC Worldwide has 14 kinds of open positions listed on the careers portion of its website, many of which have multiple openings. That includes team members in everything from production and warehouse/logistics, to engineering and accounting/finance, to quality and customer service.

Vinylmax Windows

Vinylmax Windows in Hamilton is looking to expand its workforce by more than 20 percent before the end of 2019.

The company, which has 142 employees, manufactures custom-sized windows for the replacement and new construction markets and has customers in 27 states.

It opened in Sharonville in 1982 and relocated in 2006 to a 150,000-square-foot facility it constructed in Hamilton, according to Craig Doerger, owner and vice president of operations.

The family-run company’s “aggressive growth strategy” finds it looking for 30 new employees over the next 18 months. Open positions including production lines, shipping, material handling, and office administration areas, he said.

The new positions pay, on average, $12 per hour, Doerger said.

Middletown Tube Works

A privately-owned steel tube supplier to the automotive and HVAC industries is looking to expand its workforce by as much as 21 percent.

Middletown Tube Works at 2201 Trine St. manufactures steel tubing from coiled steel, which is automatically seam welded, cut and packaged to customers’ specifications.

The company employs 95 people and is hiring as many as 20 new employees.

New hires typically move up quickly as many higher pay positions are promoted from within, he said. Average first year employee pay is $19.23 per hour.

Novolex

Novolex, a leading North American packaging company that has nearly 7,000 employees at 46 locations across North America and one in Europe, is hiring for its operations in Franklin.

Burrows Packaging produces a wide range of paper-based products which include clamshells and cartons, wraps and basket liners, napkins, and paper bags.

Located at 2000 Commerce Center Drive in Franklin, the company of 200 employees traces its roots to Little Falls, NY, and has been in continuous operation for more than 95 years.

Spectrum

Spectrum is looking to expand its local workforce. The company, which offers cable, internet and phone service, serves 45 states and employs more than 95,000 people.

It’s looking to fill as many as 20 local positions for direct sales representatives. Top representatives earn more than $100,000 a year, according to the company.

“We are looking to grow our office by 20 percent,” said residential sales supervisor Nick Meyer. “The hope is to reach 90 sales reps over the next six months plus an additional supervisor.”
