MIDDLETOWN — Middletown fire officials are investigating the cause of a house fire Tuesday night in the 1800 block of Carroll Avenue, Fire Chief Paul Lolli said.

Lolli said there were no injuries to the residents or firefighters. No one was home when firefighters arrived, according to the fire report.

The cause of the fire possibly is electrical, Lolli said.

The fire caused $20,000 in damages to the property and $5,000 to the contents, according to the fire report.

Firefighters were dispatched at 5:15 p.m. and were on scene for about three hours, according to records.
