The Fitton Center for Creative Arts in Hamilton has five galleries offer about 20 diverse, free exhibitions annually. There will be a gallery opening for the upcoming exhibition “Beauty and the Beast” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1 followed by a “Classic Country” performance featuring Natalie Murphy and Chris Kroeze at 7:30 p.m.
In the community gallery the same night, guests can enjoy a closing reception for “Butler Tech School of the Arts Collective Exhibition,” which is presented concurrently with sculptural works by Miami University Hamilton students. The Fairfield Community Arts Center (fairfield-city.org/248/Community-Arts-Center) has programs for families, adults, and children, including cultural events, classes, and leisure activities for those who call Southwest Ohio home. Country star Brandon Davis will perform in Fairfield at 8 p.m. on Jan. 24.
Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park in Hamilton brings people to art in nature. With more than 400 acres of rolling hills, hiking trails, forests, meadows, and lakes, guests can explore nature and see more than 70 outdoor sculptures at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park. Onsite, visitors can also discover the ancient antiquities collection, view contemporary exhibitions and see the iconic Pyramid House.

The Middletown Arts Center is dedicated to enriching the lives of the community through the arts. Offering a wide range of classes, exhibitions, and special events, the MAC will host an opening reception from 10 a.m.-noon Jan. 25 for the “Tomorrow’s Artist Today” exhibition in the Main Gallery and “Level Up Arts Show” in the Lobby Gallery. The reception is free to attend and open to all.

Situated on three acres of scenic sculpture park grounds, The Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum at Miami University in Oxford features five galleries of changing exhibitions and a growing permanent collection of over 17,500 artworks. Three new spring exhibitions will open on Jan. 28, including “From the Collections” (Douglass Gallery;) “Tooling Around with Jim Dine” (McKie Gallery) and “Art & Architecture History Senior Capstone” (Farmer Gallery.)
