4 Butler County road closings that may impact your drive this week

Here are a few Butler County road closings that may affect your drive this week:

MORGAN TWP.: Morgan Ross Road

Morgan Ross Road will close 1 mile north of Hamilton New London Road and 1.2 miles south of Ohio 748 beginning Tuesday, May 29.

The closure is necessary for a culvert replacement by crews from the Ross Township Road Maintenance Department, according to the Butler County Engineer’s Office.

The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of June 4, according to the engineer’s office.

HAMILTON: North ‘E’ Street

North "E" Street between Main Street and Park Avenue will be closed until June 5.

This closure is necessary for installation of new 12-inch water main, according to the city.

Access to Main Street Alley will be maintained, and North "F" St. will be open during this closure, according to the city.

HAMILTON: South Third Street

South Third Street between Maple Avenue and Ludlow Street will be closed beginning Tuesday, May 29, until 5 p.m. Friday June 1.

This closure is necessary for installation of sanitary sewer lateral, according to the city.

OXFORD TWP.: Riggs Road

Riggs Road will close for a series of three culvert replacements beginning Tuesday, May 29.

Only one culvert will be closed at a time, according to the county engineer’s office.

  • First and second culverts – Located 0.5 mile north of King Road and 0.2 mile south of Stillwell Beckett Road. Closing: May 29. Approximate opening date: June 6.
  • Third culvert – Located 0.7 mile north of Stillwell Beckett Roadand five feet south of Brookville Road. Approximate closing date: June 6. Approximate opening date: June 8.
