Butler County festival will have Barker ornaments for sale

Liberty Township Historical Society will hold their annual spring open house of the Hughes One-Room School on Saturday, May 1 from 10 a.m - 2 p.m. This building was placed on the National Registry of Historic Sites in 1975. The School is located at 6010 Princeton Road 45011 adjacent to the Liberty Early Childhood School. Step back in time as you tour the restored one-room school house furnished as it was in 1887. Six Barker ornaments depicting Liberty Township landmarks available for purchase and local barn paintings by Dr. Robert Kroeger will be on display.  CONTRIBUTED

Liberty Twp. Historical Society, in conjunction with Liberty Twp. Parks Committee, will hold the 6th annual Heritage Day Event from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 7 at Dudley Park, 5591 Hankins Road. The 1800′s Gregory Cabin will be open, and a docent will conduct tours and explain the pioneer lifestyle.
