The expansion of UGN Monroe will increase the size of the facility’s current building by 154,000 square feet, requiring 111 new team members and adding close to $6 million in salaries.

The UGN Monroe facility opened in 2015 and brought more than 280 new jobs to the community.

“UGN has been providing much-needed, highly skilled jobs for the Monroe community since 2015. Since then, it seems it has just continued to grow,” State Rep. Candice Keller, R-Middletown, said in a statement. “Now, thanks to the help of JobsOhio, the Monroe branch is going to see an increase of 111 jobs. … Because of this, more families can now experience more prosperity in our communities.”

The expansion is planned to start this month, and construction should be complete by November, according to the company.
