Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum in Hamilton has announced its fall schedule of events — and it has a lot going on.

“Our fall programming will come to the park September through November, and it’s basically everything we have before Pyramid Hill Lights take over in November. So, we do have some continuing series as well as some new programs,” said Delaney French, marketing, and sales manager at Pyramid Hill.

Art Fair, Pyramid Hill’s largest signature event, will be Sept. 28-29 and feature art from more than 60 different artists, live entertainment, artist demonstrations, family friendly activities, pet adoptions, food trucks and more.

One standout program will include a “Wines and Vines” happy hour ink and drink from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 13. Pyramid Hill will partner with The Farmer’s Collective as guests listen to live music and draw with homemade charcoal and ink made from Pyramid Hill’s wild grape vines. It is free with park admission and no pre-registration required. Wines and Vines is for adults 21 and older.

There is also a new workshop for adults — beginning basketry On Nov. 9, those age 14 and older will learn basic weaving techniques as they make a handled reed basket with guidance from experienced basket maker Carrie Ledford. The cost of the workshop is $25 for Pyramid Hill members and $35 for non-members and includes cost of admission and all materials. Pre-registration is required.

The “Nature/Nurture” series will continue with a “Forest Bathing’ session on Sept. 15. The session will feature a slow, guided walk, a sequence of soothing, nature-based readings, moments of stillness and poetry that will be led by Pam Lowe Cho, ANFT-Certified forest therapy guide. It is sponsored by the Photography Club of Cincinnati.

Starting at 6 p.m. on Oct 27, Pyramid Hill will present a themed, outdoor movie screening with Horror on the Hill: “The Shining.” Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters and join in the costume contest. It is geared for mature teens and adults as the movie is rated R.

Guided tours will be offered of Fortified Hill from Oct. 14 throughNov. 3. Guests can explore Fortified Hill, the 2,000-year-old ceremonial earthwork. Tours are paid and pre-registration is required; registration opens in early October.
