Another coronavirus case confirmed in Middletown, total now 6

The city of Middletown has reported one more confirmed case of coronavirus.

Spokeswoman Shelby Quinlivan said Friday the latest confirmed case of COVID-19 was a 22 year-old female who has not been hospitalized.

This case raises the total to six confirmed in the city.

Quinlivan said the first case, confirmed March 14, was a 55-year-old woman who did not require hospitalization and has recovered.

A second case was confirmed Sunday and is a 45-year-old man. He is recovering at home, Quinlivan said. The third case was confirmed Tuesday night, a 72-year-old man who was hospitalized. On Thursday, two more cases were reported, is a 52-year-old woman who is recovering at home. The other confirmed case is a 25-year-old man who is also recovering at home.

As of today the Ohio Department of Health has reported 3,312 confirmed cases in Ohio with 895 hospitalizations that includes 288 admissions to Intensive Care Units across the state. The median age of people confirmed with COVID-19 is 54 and the age range is from under 1 year of age to age 101. There have been 91 Ohioans who died from COVID-19 statewide.

The Butler County Health District reported 53 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 19 hospitalizations, and still two deaths; Warren County has reported 31 confirmed cases, five hospitalizations, and no deaths.
