As snow moves into the area once again, multiple area sheriff’s office have declared snow emergencies.

The Butler, Champaign, Clark, Greene, Montgomery and Preble county sheriff’s offices have each declared a level 1 snow emergency.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office issued a level 1 snow advisory.

A level 1 snow emergency or snow advisory means that roads are covered in snow, and may be icy. Motorists are urged to drive with caution.

There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 7 a.m. on Sunday, issued by the National Weather Service in Wilmington, due to total snow accumulations of two to four inches.

The NWS urged drivers to slow down and use caution, and to plan on slippery road conditions.
