Colerain Twp. police ended their search Thursday afternoon for a missing 4-year-old girl after she was reported found safe in Kentucky.

Colerain Twp. police said Lakota Elliot was abducted Wednesday night by her mother, Emily Elliot.

“After being notified she had lost custody of Lakota, Emily took off with the child. Lakota was wearing purple jacket. They were seen getting into a black vehicle with a Kentucky registration,” read an alert from Colerain Twp. police. “Law enforcement is very concerned for the safety of the child.”

Colerain Twp. police were asking for the public’s help to find the missing girl.
