When it comes to last-minute gift ideas, and stocking stuffers, there are options at specialty shops and retailers throughout Butler County.

“Whether you’re looking for the popular toys of this holiday season, or something handcrafted and one-of-a-kind, Butler County is home to nationally known retailors and a large collection of locally owned boutique shops,” said Kathryn Rawlinson, vice president of marketing and communications at Travel Butler County.

The shops in Butler County have also made gift-giving easier with curated collections, and some boutiques offer complimentary gift wrapping, such as Scripted Studio in Hamilton.

“From Liberty Center to the Streets of West Chester to the charming shopping districts full of locally owned boutiques in Hamilton, Middletown and Oxford you can easily shop for all of the gifts on your list. For unique stocking stuffers I love to pick up treats from around the world at Jungle Jim’s International Market,” Rawlinson said.

The Apple Tree (www.theappletreeoxford.com) in Uptown Oxford offers scented candles, décor, picture frames and signs and more.

The Spicy Olive in West Chester (www.thespicyolive.com) is a tasting emporium for the freshest olive oils and the finest balsamic vinegars. It offers a 2-Pack Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar set, which is ideal for gift-giving as well as multi-pack samplers, and gift cards.

Hamilton’s Wildfire Hygge Goods offers a gifting guide online at www.wildfirehamilton.com/collections/gifts, which is helpful for last minute shoppers. New arrivals include jewelry, cards, gift tags, and framed antique art and prints. Gift cards from Wildfire are also available.

Another creative idea is to support local artists when you’re shopping at places like the Pendleton Art Center (www.pendletonartcenter.com) in Middletown. The center features more than 100 artists that specialize in a variety of different art forms, such as jewelry and accessories, paintings, photography and more.

“There are so many options that it’s difficult to name just a few. For modern and vintage toys, a visit to The Toy Department or West Chester Toys is a must, BirdBrain Apparel has a popular clothing line and a wall of rare and coveted shoes, Sara’s House has upcycled gifts like unique lamps and golf club bottle openers, for spirit lovers you can get a locally-distilled bottle at White Dog Distilling Co., find handcrafted jewelry at Juniper in Oxford, and for home décor and seasonal jams check out Garver Family Farm Market,” said Rawlinson.
