Kids will learn about exploration and adventure with this interactive show about dinosaurs. With help from audience volunteers, and life-like dinosaur puppets, children learn about dinosaurs as well as the experts who study fossils and what they do. The show will be packed with comedy and puppetry.
“This is a great way to have some pre-historic fun. Kids will learn about dinosaurs, fossils, and it’s all fully interactive. From beginning to end, the kids are a part of the show,” said MacKenzie-Thurley.
Prior to the start of the show, there will be a complimentary reception by Two Women in a Kitchen with kid-friendly food and drink that will be served in the Carruthers Signature Ballroom at 6:30 p.m.
As part of the Fitton Family Fridays series, the entire family can enjoy performances by local children’s theater companies, puppet shows, live ballet, and musical theater as well as interactive events.
“With the shows, and the Dino Show will be the same, there’s an opportunity for kids and parents to get up on stage and be a part of the action as well,” MacKenzie-Thurley said.
Kids have a chance to go behind-the-scenes and interact with the actors and performers. They’ll learn more about what it’s like to rehearse for a performance, play, or a musical. And there is a Q & A session after the show, so kids can ask questions, and find out what it takes to put on the production.
