Entertainer Paul Adams will bring Freddy Fossil and his team of characters to a Hamilton stage as part of the “Dino Show.”

“Paul and the team put on incredible performances. It is a one-man show, but the evening will feature a full cast of characters because he brings puppets and animatronics to life. So, the Dino Show will have ‘live’ dinosaurs on stage,” said Ian MacKenzie-Thurley, executive director of the Fitton Center for Creative Arts on Monument Avenue. “He’s been coming to the Fitton Center for a few years, and he’s delivering high-quality shows, just for kids, all over the country, and he’s one of those local artists we love to be able to support.”

Kids will learn about exploration and adventure with this interactive show about dinosaurs. With help from audience volunteers, and life-like dinosaur puppets, children learn about dinosaurs as well as the experts who study fossils and what they do. The show will be packed with comedy and puppetry.

“This is a great way to have some pre-historic fun. Kids will learn about dinosaurs, fossils, and it’s all fully interactive. From beginning to end, the kids are a part of the show,” said MacKenzie-Thurley.

Prior to the start of the show, there will be a complimentary reception by Two Women in a Kitchen with kid-friendly food and drink that will be served in the Carruthers Signature Ballroom at 6:30 p.m.

As part of the Fitton Family Fridays series, the entire family can enjoy performances by local children’s theater companies, puppet shows, live ballet, and musical theater as well as interactive events.

“With the shows, and the Dino Show will be the same, there’s an opportunity for kids and parents to get up on stage and be a part of the action as well,” MacKenzie-Thurley said.

Kids have a chance to go behind-the-scenes and interact with the actors and performers. They’ll learn more about what it’s like to rehearse for a performance, play, or a musical. And there is a Q & A session after the show, so kids can ask questions, and find out what it takes to put on the production.
