Feast Grazing Platters & Café was founded by a mother and her daughters who have combined their talents to bring people together through food.

“I love entertaining. I’ve hosted parties for a long time, and I love how food brings everyone together, and that’s basically the heart of the business. It’s just bringing everyone together,” said Pakeeza Asghar, who owns and operates the business with her daughters, Emaan and Zara.

“These girls have been seeing me do it, and helped me all throughout their lives, so what better partners than my daughters,” she said.

The trio has a passion for entertaining and marrying food with art in the custom charcuterie tables, platters and boxes they create to make memorable experiences for clients.

“We have been entertaining all our lives, and we’ve learned the ins and outs of it. We’ve really got it down to a science now, and it just makes it so fun to really work together, and bring out the best in all of us, and use our skills to have something that we care about, and bring it out to the world,” said Zara Asghar.

There was a market for the business. Grazing platters was such a new thing when we started in 2019, she said.

“Emaan is most incredible artist you’ll ever come across, and she’s completely self-trained, and my mom is the most sweet, incredible, and excited host you’ll ever meet, and the most amazing chef. We have been blessed with her cooking our entire lives, and I love to talk, and I could talk forever, so the three of us were able to bring our skills together” Zara said.

The business began during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it took off with picnic boxes and individual orders, and it’s been history from there, she said.

“We did start as charcuterie catering, so we do offer platters, boxes, and tables which are completely customizable. What sets us apart is we really do care about the client, and exactly what they want and need, and we’re there to make it look beautiful and make it happen for you,” said Zara.

The Café in Liberty Center opened in March of 2024. Its menu offers made-to-order charcuterie cups and boats to small boards as well as Chai, coffee, signature milks, and desserts, including a Pink Cake, Chocolate Cake and a Custard Crumble.

Toasts and flatbreads are also popular, such as the Samosa Toast topped with aromatic potatoes and chutney and the Hazelnut Mascarpone topped with hazelnut, mascarpone and honey.

“There aren’t that many places in the Midwest where you can just go in and get charcuterie, and that’s what we started with, and we wanted to keep it true to ourselves, so in our café, you can get ‘Charcuterie To-Go’ as we like to call it, or you can have it while you’re there,” Emaan Asghar said.

She said before the Café opened, there weren’t a lot of places in the Cincinnati area serving Chai teas, and it’s really become a specialty for the family.

“Everything is made in-house. We have all of our own house blends, and it’s been great to develop our Chai flavors,” Emaan said. “We want to offer an experience that you can’t get anywhere else.”
