For its third annual dual venue exhibition at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts and at The Strauss Gallery, the Women’s Art Club of Hamilton presents “Into the Light.”

“Into the Light is our third annual dual-venue art exhibition and we’ve grown and improved every year. WACH is a remarkable collective of extremely talented artists, who value community over competition. That shows in our work and how we come together to support and encourage each other,” said Elizabeth Rohrbaugh, artist, and founder of the Women’s Art Club of Hamilton.

Into the Light, the third annual dual exhibition presented by Women’s Art Club of Hamilton will be on display at the Fitton Center and The Strauss Gallery from Mar. 3-Apr. 11. There will be a gallery opening event on Mar. 8 at both venues.

“We’re thrilled to share this journey of growth with the Hamilton community, Our bond with each gallery is special, and exhibiting in both simultaneously is a truly unique experience. We love bringing Hamilton together for one night to celebrate the vibrant artistic talent in our city,” she said.

There will be a gallery opening celebration at both the Fitton Center and Strauss Gallery on March 8. The Fitton Center gallery will be open from 6-7:30 p.m. and will have a cash bar available. “Into the Light” runs in conjunction with the musical performance “Jazz & Cabaret: Singin’ & Swingin.’”

The Strauss Gallery will be open from 6-9 p.m. and food and drinks are available at Ciao Vino Wine Bar adjacent to the gallery. Acoustic music will also be provided in the gallery.

“This event has been very well attended in the past two years, drawing large crowds on opening night and high foot traffic in the galleries throughout the exhibition. The high rate of sales at each gallery has been incredibly encouraging. With such a diverse display of artwork, we anticipate even greater success this year, especially with the related art events happening alongside the show and the extended run of our exhibit,” Rohrbaugh said.

Into the Light is a Women’s Art Club of Hamilton member-only exhibit. The club welcomes members throughout the year.

“Our club has grown to 92 members, and we continue to expand. You can become a member on our website to see our upcoming events, and submit to the show. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this dynamic community-the application window closes on Jan. 31,” she said.

Women’s Art Club of Hamilton welcomes women 18 years and older at any stage of their artistic journey. Members range from budding artists to seasoned professionals who make a living from their craft.

“There is truly something here for everyone. From abstract to realistic, 2D, 3D, glass, paper, canvas, fiber and everything in between, there is a piece of art I’m certain you will love. Most of the artwork is for sale and purchases support WACH artists as well as the galleries, thereby keeping art alive and well in Hamilton,” Rohrbaugh said.
