With an afternoon of sampling wine and craft beer and checking out cool artwork in a collegiate setting, raising money for the Oxford Chamber of Commerce has probably never been so much fun.

Here are four reasons to attend the award-winning Oxford Wine and Craft Beer Festival.

THE WINE

Most of the fest’s wine will be supplied by Heidelberg, which has distribution centers throughout Ohio; and Ohio Valley, Heidelberg’s sister company in Cincinnati. Local participating wineries include Hanover, Vintage Wines, and Olde Schoolhouse Vineyard & Winery.

Heidelberg brands at the fest will include Gallo, Constellation, CFM, Banfi, Excelsior, and Biltmore. On most of these tables, you will find varieties of chardonnay, pinot grigio, savignon blanc, cabernet, pinot noir, red blend, rose and more.

Ohio Valley brands include Easley Winery, St. James Winery, Constellation, Treasury Wine Estates, Trinchero Family Wines, Delicato Family Vineyards, and The Wine Group.

On these tables, you will find varieties of whites, blushes, sangrias, moscatos, fruit wines, rieslings, chardonnays, pinot grigios, pinot noirs, cabernets, sauvignon blancs and more.

THE BEER

All of the craft beer comes from local breweries. They are Rhinegeist, Grainworks, Christian Moerlein, Municipal, Northern Row, Quarter Barrel, and Lock 27. The styles include IPAs, blonde ales, brown ales, pale ales, kolschs, wheats, lagers, barleywines, pilsner malts and witbiers.

ARTISANS

Twenty artisans will be displaying their wares for perusal and purchase. You can expect to see handmade jewelry, leather jewelry, pottery, paintings, pet treats, necklaces, handmade clothing and accessories, flowers, creative framing, books, and skin care products.

There will also be several non-art vendors, such as Anytime Fitness, Edward Jones Investments, Bathfitters, T-Mobile, and more.

LIVE MUSIC

The live entertainment begins at 2 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. The lineup, in order, is: Sirenz Sirenz with Daniel and Kristin Agee (folk), Swingfoot (blues), Jimmy Rogers & Perfect Storm (soul, pop, R&B), WingWalkers (hot town swing) and the Lisa Biales Band (jazz/blues).
