The inclement weather forecast for tonight and Saturday has organizers of several events throughout the region scrambling.

The Middletown Arts Festival, scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed until Sunday, Sept. 15, organizers said. The event had been scheduled for noon to 8 p.m. in downtown Middletown.

First Friday, also scheduled for downtown Middletown, is still set for today, but the dog portion of the event has been cancelled. No make-up date has been announced.

Several other events, set for Saturday, are scheduled, though organizers said that could change depending on the weather.

Barb Wilson, spokeswoman for West Chester, said the West Chester Concert Series at Keehner Park is scheduled for Saturday. She said the group will announce by 4 p.m. Saturday on its Facebook page if the event has been cancelled. The concert was rained out in July. Wilson said if Saturday’s concert is cancelled, it won’t be rescheduled.

Organizers of the Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties Remembrance 5K Walk/Run said that event is still scheduled for Saturday morning at Smith Park. The event will be postponed only if there is lightning, organizers said.
