Jimmy Buffett Riverbend concert tickets going on sale

Local Parrotheads are preparing to rev up their fins.

Tickets for Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band's summer Riverbend Music Center concert go on sale at 10 a.m Friday, Feb. 14.

If the past is any indication, tickets for show set for 8 p.m. Monday, July 21 will likely sell out fast.

There is an eight-ticket limit per customer. Tickets will be sold at Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets or charged by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Reserved pavilion seats are $136 each. General admission on the lawn is $36.

The singer known for a string of island life anthems that includes “Fins,” Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise”

has drawn fans from throughout the region.

This summer’s tour will mark the 27th consecutive year Buffett has played at Riverbend, 6295 Kellogg Ave., Cincinnati.

In that time, the venue’s Executive Director Mike Smith says he has performed 47 shows for more than a million Parrotheads — the nickname given to Buffett’s fans.

“Summertime in Cincinnati would not be the same without Jimmy Buffett,” he said.

The stop will be part of Buffett’s “This One’s For You” tour. Upcoming shows in Raleigh, N.C. (April 22), Charlotte, N.C. (April 24) and Austin, Texas (May 31) were also just announced.

Buffett recently released the 15 song album “Songs From St. Somewhere” recorded in locations that include Key West, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; Miami, Saint Barthélemy island and London, England.
