Presented by Chaco Credit Union, the weekly series started on May 11 and will continue every Thursday through Aug. 31. All concerts will be held at Village Green Park.
Sheldrick said the series offers a diverse lineup of music from Country and Cajun to German, Blues and Classic Rock.
“We have a little something for everybody this year,” he said.
Bands that will make up the season lineup include Noah Wotherspoon Band, Ricky Nye, the Dan Varner Band, Lisa Biales Band, The Klaberheads, Robin Lacy & DeZydeco, BlueStone Ivory, Thunderbay and others.
Among other event highlights, there will be activities for children as well as vendor giveaways. Food, beverage and dessert vendors will be on hand, along with business vendors, event partners and sponsors that will have booths set up, such as Hammann’s Catering and Flub’s Ice Cream.
“Families bring their children, and we have senior adults coming, and all ages in between, and it’s really great to be able to bring in all these different groups. They are all great performers…It’s a tremendous opportunity to come out and have fun,” Sheldrick said.
Additionally, the Groovin’ Grill, located on the Fairfield Community Arts Center balcony, will feature a family-friendly dinner service from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and cash bar that will remain open until the conclusion of each concert. The Groovin’ Grill will be open throughout the Groovin’ concert season. Food will be available for purchase. A standard menu, along with a kids’ menu of hamburgers, hot dogs and a side item will be available each week with various specials that will be offered throughout the summer.
