The Hamilton Rotary Club’s signature Bourbon and Chocolate Festival will return to Butler County Fairgrounds in February. The annual event raises funds to support youth scholarships and programs.

“A surprise element that makes my heart happy is seeing new names of people purchasing tickets, who are being introduced to an event here in Hamilton, and being introduced to Rotary Club of Hamilton, and what it is we do for the community,” said Kim Neal Davis, chair of the Bourbon and Chocolate Festival committee. “

Hamilton Rotary Bourbon and Chocolate Festival presented by LCNB will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Feb. 1 at the Butler County Fairgrounds.

There will be 15 different chocolate and dessert vendors as well as rare and specialty bourbons to try.

The cost is $30 to experience all 15 of the chocolate tastings. For guests who want to try chocolate and bourbon, there is a $55 ticket, where guests can sample all 15 of the chocolates, plus five bourbon tastings. For bourbon-only drinkers, guests can purchase a $50 ticket option for 10 bourbon tastings.

Guests must be 21 and older to purchase a bourbon or a combination ticket.

In addition to all the tastings, there will be raffle prize baskets from local businesses, an online silent auction, and music from Matt Marcum, known as DJ SPARKM. The event typically sells out.

This is the sole annual fundraiser for the Hamilton Rotary Club, supporting youth programming and scholarships throughout the community.

“The 2024 Bourbon and Chocolate Festival was remarkably successful, and we raised over $30,000 from the event, which then, we could invest back into youth programs in Hamilton. We sold out in terms of tickets, so that’s always a good mark of success in our book,” Neal Davis said.

Flora Butler serves as the current president of Hamilton Rotary Club, which has about 100 active members.
