Asiatique latest restaurant to open in West Chester

WEST CHESTER TWP. — A new pan-Asian restaurant, Asiatique Bistro, opened Tuesday, July 20 in the Union Centre Square area.

The restaurant, 9228 Centre Point Drive, is based out of Louisville and has won awards for “Best Asian Restaurant.” The menu offers traditional Asian cuisine, with starters like soft shell crab and wasabi with a ceasar vinaigrette, appetizers with a variety of meats including lamb, calamari, pork, chick, beef and shrimp. Entrees range from classic fried rice to dry rubbed duck breast and pickled vegetables. Prices aren’t listed on the menu, but Chef Peng Looi said entrees range from $7.50 to $18.

He said that considering no grand opening or advertisements, business has “surprisingly been doing well.”

Looi is the founder of two award-winning restaurants in Louisville, KY, August Moon Bistro and Asiatique, according to the Asiatique website. Opening the bistro in West Chester Twp. is his latest business endeavor.

“We thought opening in West Chester was an excellent location,” he said.

Asiatique is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays. A menu and additional information is listed on its website, www.asiatiquebistro.com. Reservations are accepted, but not required.
