“I have worked with Chris Kroeze since we were in the Twin Cities, up in the Midwest together. Chris is my favorite person I’ve ever worked with. He’s really a phenomenal artist. Obviously, he was runner up on ‘The Voice,’ Season 15. He was on Team Blake. Chris is a Top 40 Country artist as an independent artist,” Murphy said.
“We have worked together for years, and have released several songs together. We love collaborating, and we are so excited to come to Hamilton.”
Kroeze lives in Barron, Wisc. with his wife and children. On his sixth birthday, he received a guitar of his own, and he hasn’t put it down since. He released the Top 5 country song “Human,” among others.
“We are going to bring a blend of classic and modern country as well as a little bit of original music,” Murphy said. “There’s going to be something for everyone that loves Country music.”
Murphy and Kroeze released a song together called “I Don’t Miss You,” which is always a fan favorite. Murphy has a brand-new single titled, “When Cowgirls Cry,” which they will perform. Audiences can also expect to hear a few of Kroeze’s hit songs.
“The Fitton Center really is a listening room, so we have some elements of this show that are for a listening audience with some amazing musical moments,” Murphy said. “This show will feature songwriting moments, and instrumental moments as well as vocal moments in an intimate setting.”
Completing the set list, Murphy and Kroeze will put their own spin on songs from Garth Brooks and Patsy Cline to Charlie Daniels, and more.
