The feedback is confidential and helps city officials understand the needs of Hamilton and prioritize projects.
Surveys can be taken on paper or electronically, said Tomika Hedrington, a consultant from the firm Between the Lines Consulting the city of Hamilton uses.
“We anticipate and are hopeful to receive a response rate of up to 20%,” she said.
In past surveys, residents have identified needs such as additional drug and substance abuse services, mental health services, homelessness services and youth programs.
In the 2023-2024 action plan, residents highlighted the need for the construction of new and affordable/accessible housing. In December, city council agreed to work with Neighborhood Housing Services to build three new homes on city-owned lots in the Jefferson neighborhood.
A virtual survey (bit.ly/2025-26ActionPlanSurvey) is available and allows anyone who works, lives or is socially involved in the city to provide input on areas of need, such as with public infrastructure and facilities, housing, unsafe or abandoned buildings, economic support for small businesses, and public services and housing.
Hard copy surveys can be requested. For more information, email Tomika.Hedrington@hamilton-oh.gov.
