The course now offers a limited food menu with a full line of domestic and craft beers and bourbon, Kiser said.

He said the pro shop, last remodeled in the 1980s, has been upgraded with TVs, video games, tables and a bar.
“Long overdue” is how Kiser described the improvements.
The pavilion, located next to the pro shop, has become a popular hangout for golfers after their rounds and a venue for late-night, live entertainment, he said.
“Very well received,” Kiser said when asked about the wooden pavilion.
In order to build the pavilion, the golf carts have been moved, and since they’re stored in a barn closer to Sloebig Road, the front and back nines have been reversed. Kiser said having the carts closer to the first tee reduces wear and tear on them and has made operations more efficient.

Now, the golfers finish closer to the pavilion.
The golf course’s irrigation system is being improved and the men’s locker room is undergoing upgrades after it was damaged in a small fire, according to Kiser.
Brown’s Run was established in 1956 when a group of Middletonians utilized the rolling terrain of the Niderdale Dairy Farm to build a golf course, according to history records. Since then, it has been operated as a private country club, semi-private club and now a public course with memberships available.
Since buying the course, Kiser said he lost money the first three years, broke even last year, and is trending toward turning a profit this season. In the last five years, the number of rounds has jumped from 9,000 to 30,0000.
