Family-owned business Dry Patrol moves to Carlisle, expands

Dry Patrol, a fire, water, mold restoration and construction services firm, is holding a community open house from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. today (Thursday), Sept. 25.

The open house will celebrate the opening of its new location at 711 Business Pkwy., in Carlisle. Residents and local businesses can tour the new facility and gain information on the services Dry Patrol provides.

Dry Patrol was founded in Madison Twp. in 2007 by Derron Oakley, son of Brett Oakley, the owner of Mar-flex and Land of Illusion, said Dana Oakley, account manager for Dry Patrol. The business moved to Carlisle in June, Dana Oakley said.

Previously, Dry Patrol was located at 8772 Thomas Road in space it had outgrown, Dana said. By moving to Carlisle near Mar-flex, Dry Patrol, which has about 20 employees, was able to add more services including construction, fire restoration and emergency board-up, she said.

Also, Dry Patrol is now offering franchise opportunities to expand its business. Dry Patrol franchises have opened in Columbus and Akron and the local business is looking to grow locations across the country. The new Carlisle offices will house the corporate franchise operations as well, Dana added.

Thursday’s ceremonies begin with an official ribbon cutting at 4:45 p.m. with representatives of The Chamber of Commerce Serving Middletown, Monroe and Trenton; Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce; and Springboro Chamber of Commerce. There will also be skydivers, a high school marching band, demonstrations from local law enforcement teams and light refreshments. Other activities include a raffle for a pair of Cincinnati Bengals tickets. “Who Dey,” the mascot, will join the fun.

Dry Patrol offers homeowners and business owners 24-hour emergency services such as:

• Cleanup and removal of water or flood damage;

• Mold removal and remediation;

• Fire cleanup and damage restoration;

• Biohazard cleanup;

• Emergency board-up services;

• Wind damage restoration;

• Commercial carpet cleaning; and

• Construction services including roofing, painting and drywall.
