Einstein Bros. Bagels, which has a Butler County location, introduced what it calls the world’s first caffeinated bagel today — the Espresso Buzz Bagel.

Each bagel contains 32 milligrams of caffeine, or about one-third of what you’d find in the average 8-ounce cup of coffee.

“We have watched the coffee category expand and adapt as Millennials converted to coffee drinkers, attracted by the smoother flavor and artisanal characteristics and third- and fourth-wave coffee,” Kerry Coyne, Einstein’s senior vice president and head of marketing and research and development, told Fox News via email.

The bagel’s caffeine comes from both espresso and coffee-cherry flour. But if you want to try one, hurry — they’re only around for a limited time, according to the company.

Einstein Bros. Bagels has a Butler County location in West Chester Twp. (9216 Allen Road) as well in downtown Cincinnati, near the University of Cincinnati. It also has a Dayton location at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
