Franklin police are searching for a white male who attempted to rob a Speedway gas station Wednesday morning.

Franklin police are searching for a white male who attempted to rob a Speedway gas station Wednesday morning.

Police Chief Russ Whitman said the suspect walked into the Speedway at 1295 E. Second St. about 10 a.m. and gave the cashier a note demanding money.

Whitman said the Speedway employee activated the alarm but the suspect left without obtaining any money. Police searched the area but could not locate the suspect.

“He got nervous and walked out,” Whitman said. “We hope someone can identify him.”
