Middletown police, Butler County Sheriff’s deputies and Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the checkpoint from 6:30 to 9:45 p.m. Friday in addition to extra patrols in the area around the checkpoint.
The checkpoints and saturation patrols are part of the task force’s continuing effort to reduce OVI-related crashes resulting in injuries and fatalities.
The Butler County OVI Task Force is funded by U.S. Department of Transportation, National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
